The South West HR Collective

A local network for HR professionals, people leaders, and managers with people responsibilities across Bunbury and the South West.

Why this exists

Doing the people stuff in a regional business can be a lonely job.

You might be the only HR person in the building. You might be an office manager who inherited payroll, contracts, and the hard conversations. You might lead a team and have nobody to compare notes with when the rules change…again.

The Collective is the room where you’re not the only one. Once a month, HR folk and people leaders from across the South West get together around one practical topic: what’s changing, what’s working, and what everyone else is actually doing about it.

What a session looks like

• One timely topic: the things landing on your desk right now, from pay changes to difficult conversations to making AI useful without losing your judgement

• A local speaker who knows it firsthand: a practitioner, not a product demo

• Real discussion: the value is the room, not the slides

• No sales pitches: not from speakers, not from anyone. That’s a standing rule.

It’s free. There’s no formal membership, no committee, no minutes. Come when the topic is useful to you.

Who it’s for

If your job includes hiring, paying, leading, or looking after people anywhere in Bunbury, Busselton, Collie, Harvey, the Capes, or the wider South West, you’re who this is for. HR managers and HR-teams-of-one, owners and GMs who carry the people load themselves, payroll and office managers, new leaders finding their feet.

Come along to the next one

Want in? Email me and I’ll add you to the list, one email a month with the topic, the speaker, and the date. That’s it. No spam, no selling, and your details never go anywhere else.

Hosted by Kirsty Mooney

The Collective is hosted by Kirsty Mooney, founder of StrategeX Corporate Solutions in Bunbury. I started it because the best HR thinking in the South West was happening in isolation, one practitioner at a time, each solving the same problems alone. The group exists to fix that. Come and see.

Sessions are peer discussion and general information, not professional advice. For your specific situation, talk to your own HR, legal, payroll, or WHS advisors.
